Hey! I’m Jake.

I’m an advertising photographer at Bruton Stroube Studios in Saint Louis, Missouri. Bruton Stroube’s been taking photos and making films every day for over 40 years and running with 35+ full-time employees, each an expert in their discipline.

I get to make photos and videos of food & beverages for local, national, and international clients. I love working in a collaborative environment and feel when you surround yourself with really talented people great things happen.

Born and raised in Georgia, I moved to Denver with my wife before finally landing in Saint Louis in 2011. I love good design, from architecture to automotive, German Shepherds, and a great cocktail. And yes, I do like my tea sweet and tomatoes green and fried.

Bruton Stroube’s main building was a music school in 1891 and we love to get to continue to make art here. Our house has 3 studios with full kitchens, 5 editing suites, a sound room and booth, 5 retouching stations, 2 floors of props and wardrobe, a rigging and set building workshop, a 30 gallon beer brewing setup and a hand made custom motorcycle sitting in our lunch room. We call it home.

My primary studio is 3600 ft² with a fully equipped kitchen and chock full of cameras, lighting gear and special effects doodads. We can run up to 5 (or 6 if we snuggle) sets with multiple photographers and a retoucher in-studio to help keep everything organized through the post process for speedy delivery.
